Pain in Chest/ back that moves, Shortness of Breath, Constant Nausea

Mom: Age 76

ACTIVE - worked two jobs prior to PM implant

On Feb 4th my mother had a PM put in. They somehow nicked the wall of her heart with a lead and she wound up bleeding internally until it was discovered.  At that time they inserted a drain to remove the effusion and she spent a week in the ICU.  She felt pretty good by the time she was released and went home- only to end up in the ER with extreme chest pain and shortness of breath. She checked herself out AMA (bad idea i know) and went home.  In the month and a half since they have given her four different kinds of antibiotics for things they "think" may be wrong.  Kidney infection, pneumonia, and now she has thrush.  Through ALL of this she has never heard from her cardiologist once - is that not odd? We live in a small town and her cardiologist is 60 miles away. Anywho that is not the point.... She has a pain in her chest and shortness of breath.  The pain moves from lower left back to chest to incision site to lungs.  She coughs all the time and nearly passes out from the pain. Her ability to use /move her incentive spirometer is getting worse each day.  She is always sick to her stomache and is barely eating as nothing stay in her stomach.  We are at a total LOSS.  She mentioned to her primary care Dr that she was going to go to get a second opinion and now her cardiologist will see her on Friday --- any questions, ideas, things to float to him that anyone out there may suggest? We already have a list going, but I am wondering if any of you experts or those who may have experienced any of the symptoms have any ideas?  Thank you in advance.

Honestly I would not rule out complications from her earlier issues with damage from her implant and  bleeding. Even a clot in the heart can cause many of the symptoms you describe. I'd definitely get her to a doctor immediately.
