Hello again !

Well, it has been a while. I just rembered of this place this morning when I woke up. To summarise. im 6 years older than the last time i was here. I am writing my magistrate thesis. Oh, and how could i have forgotten. In 2016 I had an ablation that was suposed to help my arrythmias. Well, guess what it did, atleast for a shor time. Maybe a month after the procedure i had 8 shocks in the course of 5 mins. After that I was prescribed amiodarone. One year later i was having problems with anxiety, insomnia, nightmares and last but ESPECIALLY NOT least, problems with my sex drive and erections. In the summer of 2017 I was on the table for another ablation, but the electrophysiologic testing didnt show any tachycardia hotspots in the heart. So it was a peaceful 2 years till last week. I was having breakfast when i felt my heart racing, my ICD delivered 3 shocks to my heart. I was rushed to the ER by my best friend. They said I had 3  V-fibs. If not for the ICD I probably wouldnt be writing here. My ICD had already gave all it had, so they admited me to the hospital. In a matter of days I was on the operation table and in exactly 30 minutes my new ICD was implanted. I have been home since Friday, i have had a fever and im still really fatigued. And, that is it. Sorry for the long post, but i felt the urge to let my heart out. Cheers to everyone.

Filip

I know the feeling of multiple shocks in a short period of time, and the PTSD afterwards.  I still get anxious when I feel a slight irregularity in my heart rythm and my 5 zapper happened September 2018.  Fortunately for me I haven't had to deal with the ED issues.  Glad your still around to write about it!  Rest up, watch that fever and take advantage of any of the times your feeling on the better side and go do something you enjoy!

At age 20, I will be getting a pacemaker in few weeks along with an SA node ablation. This opportunity may change a five year prognosis into a normal life span! I look forward to being a little old lady with a wicked cane!
