Changes

So iv had the same wires and box since August 8th 2010 I'm 20 now never had a change but on my last reading I was told my battery is between 6 months and 2 and a half years left but recently I'm more and more tired harder to wake up and less energy. Is this normal x

when it's time to replace

If your last reading said 6 months+, it could be any time, however there is usually a 3 month window from when they tell you it needs replaced until it changes mode so that you'd feel it. Is your rate still going up on exertion? When it switches mode, it paces at a steady rate so we're more likely to be easily out of breath than tired.  When in doubt ask them to check, however a lot of things can make us tired. Might not be a bad idea to get some blood work done and talk to the GP.

Are you in school? End of semester is stressful. My daughter is 20. Between finals, moving, end of year projects and her job, I think she's ready to sleep for a week. When she stresses she doesn't sleep which starts a fun cycle- too stressed to sleep, too exhausted to handle the stress.

In case no one has told you, replacements are super easy. I'm on my 5th. If I'm scheduled first thing in the morning, I'm home by lunch time. Last one, we grabbed food on the way home, came home and took a nap then worked on the computer for a few hours. Never even took a tylenol except the first few nights. Most of the restrictions the first time were from the new leads, most of the pain was from the new pocket. It sounds like your leads are good and they go in through the scar tissue. If the first was a 10, I'd say replacements more more like a 3-4.

Your ejection fraction (or end systolic volume) can ease your mind if you fine they are not changing from baseline. The risk of what your doctor calls "pacing induced cardiomyopothy" increases over time. Google "His Bundle pacing" or see <https://www.abstractsonline.com/pp8/#!/4227/presentation/10986>.

All the best to you and yours,
