Nearly every manufacturer has had a recall or 6. St. Judes (now Abbott) recently recalled somenof their devices for unexpected battery failures. Additionally, a few years back they recalled some leads.
While yhey are supposed to notify you when there is a problem, don't count on it. They didn't notify me either time. You can google it or go to the NIH web site and see recalls.
