I had a fall 4 weeks ago and broke a bone in each foot, as you can imagine it has been extremely difficult. I have become reliant on my friends wheelchair but am now having alot of pain on my pacemaker side and wondered if this was just muscle. I am worried I may be moving the wires with the continual repeated movement of my arms. Hopefully the plaster will come off this week and I will be able to stand again and stop using wheelchair.
Has anyone else had this problem, just need some reassurance I am not doing anything untoward to the wires/pacemaker.
Many thanks, Raymer

Thankyou so much for the 2 comments answering my query regarding wheelchair. I am so, so grateful. This has put my mind at rest and yes I will take things slowly.
You know you're wired when...
You have a T-shirt that reads Wired4Sound.

I finished 29th in London in 2 hours 20 minutes 30 seconds which is my fastest with or without a device so clearly it didnt slow me down ! I had no problems apart from some slight chaffing on my scar - more Vaseline next time.
Not the PM or leads

You're undoubtedly having muscle pain from excessive exercise of your upper arm and pectoral muscles. You're not used to that motion and it's a lot of work to move a wheelchair. Think about the difference in size between your leg muscles and arm muscles. There is no way that you damaged your PM and the arm motion used to propel a wheelchair wouldn't affect its leads. It's not a stretching motion. Any damage isn't likely to present itself as pain, either.
Walking after this ordeal isn't going to be a leisurely walk in the park either. After this, you need some good luck! Don't worry about your pacemaker. It's solid.
