Sydney Harbour Bridge

Since my new lease on life I have been focusing on new experiences each day, both large and small. I was so happy to have climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge on the weekend. It was such an achievement, considering 6 months ago I could not walk 5 metres. It took 3 months to walk 100m, to now being on top of the world, sort of. :)

Isn't it great to have a life again?

Wonderful to hear of your recovery.

Many people are very afraid of getting a pacemaker. Hopefully, they can read what you have written and realize getting a pacemaker isn't the end of life as they know it.

A pacemaker can be where life begins.

Exactly right, GotRhythm. That quote should go in the PMclub archives.

For most of us it truly is a new beginning. Once people come to accept this fact, everything gets easier. The reason one needs a pacemaker is in the past.  There's no changing that but life after the pacemaker is the future and the PM will, in most cases, make that better (or even possible).  It's something to look forward to, not to be depressed about.

awesome!
