Worried about AV Block Progression.

I am still very new to all this - only had my PM since 13 August 19.  I was diagnosed with Mobitz II, but I keep on reading that a Stage 2 block can rapidly progress to a complete block.  Does anyone know what the chances are of this happening and what the symptoms would be if it happened?

Graham.

no symptoms

If you are already paced, there will be no symptoms because every time the ventricles miss a beat, the pacer will be right there to fix it. It's hard to predict how quickly it will progress, could be this year, in five years, or never. The way you'll know is the pacing reports, how much you are pacing. It's nothing to fear, you already have the fix in place.

Having the pacemaker is specifically to guard against the progression to type 3. Its better to have it and not need it. As my doctor told me. Sure you dont have to get a pacemaker for Type 2, however... where will you be when you do need it.

You should have nothing to worry about, you will just be told. oh.. looks like your battery will need to be replaced sooner :)

You know you're wired when...

I finished 29th in London in 2 hours 20 minutes 30 seconds which is my fastest with or without a device so clearly it didn’t slow me down ! I had no problems apart from some slight chaffing on my scar - more Vaseline next time.
