What would you do ?

Ok ..... tomorrow will mark 30 days and I’m told I can lift my left arm overhead .

Should I exercise it through it’s normal range of motion ?

What did some of you guys do?

I realize I don’t really lift my arms overhead too often .

I guess I will have to change that lightbulb in the kitchen my wife asked about 😬?

i moved my office so I have some pictures I can hang?

A tree branch that need lopped off?

Give a two armed touchdown signal when the Cowboys score Sunday?

Be more excited im church and lift both arms !

Lifting left arm overhead after 30 days.

I'm 52 days post implant.  Not raising my left arm overhead was very hard not to do for me. I'm only 5"4" and left handed. So getting dishes off the second and top shelf was interesting.  I accidently did it a few times but recieved sharp electrical shocks in my chest and down my left arm. The Docs have checked out the device and leads and I'm okay.
I was told to slowly test it, not one quick motion. I now have full range of motion, but not allowed to shovel heavy snow till March/April.

Good input

No shoveling heavy snow until April ! So noted .

That would be tough to be left handed .  I feel kind of clumsy on my feet and think I need it for balance.

Sounds like slow and easy is the ticket

...shoulder procedure that did not include a PM.  How would you treat that - like you said - slow and easy.  I'd suggest not shoveling snow till about June, next year.  There is no rush on any of thos stuff.  You now have the rest of your life to get where you want to go.  Rushing anything now could put you back to square one.

Reaching after pacemaker+30 days

Your leads are well anchored by now so there is little risk there.  However, you've been favoring your arm for a month so the shoulder my be stiff.  Don't over-do it.  Start slow and work up from there.

Workout

Hello I just past the 5 week mark so far this is what I have been doing. 37 yr old Male dual chamber sub pec implant

First week  - Just walking about 2-3 miles with hills daily

Second week - Walking 2-3 miles and mixing in light kettle bell workouts.  Squat / Snatch only using right arm

Third week - same as week 2

Fourth week - started back at the gym after week 4.  Goblet Squats / Deadlifts / Farmers walk / treadmill.  I have gotten in two rounds and have gone fairly heavy weight

Current - same as week 4.  My plan is to start upper body push excerisces after week 6.  It will have to be modified from what I did before. Probably do floor press and incline dumbbell rows rather than normal bench and pullups

So far it his been fine.  I didn't lift arm above my head at all for about 4 weeks.  The device has moved a bit from time to time but seems to be settling in.

Very nice

sounds like you are hard after it ! That’s awesome. I’ve been waking about the same - getting back in gym Monday - kettlebell sounds good.

Maybe what I call some wall angels and see what happens .

today I was in the yard all day - I found myself still being aware of limiting reaching with my left arm - has kind of become a habit I need to ease out of

thanks for sharing your plan - it’s inspirational to me

I have some projects around the house. Come on over.

It may be the first time we've felt a normal heart rhythm in a long time, so of course it seems too fast and too strong.
