Info

Hi

I'm 41 year old with left and right bundle branch block, sick sinus getting paced at 26%. I have biotronik dual pacemaker

I had my pacemaker fitted 10 December 2019. Best thing I've had done feeling 100% better. More energy I did not realize I had a problem before, bedside the dizzy spells.Only regret for me is not having it fitted in the mussel. I'm swimming already  and weight lifting. I forget that I have it.

I work in a car manufacturing company in the maintenance department fixing all the machines and fixing break downs during production.

I work with alot of spot welders and spot welding Robots. and co2  robots repairing them during production. I walk between them all day, when they Been used. And there is easy over 500 of them. So far I haven't had any issues with it interfering with my pacemaker. And the spot welders machine have 380volts coming in and 24volts coming out of it so easy over 10000 amps. Heavy magnetic field around me most of the day.

I obviously keep my pacemaker far as I can from the tips of the spot welder. When I'm testing it. (Arms reach )

I hate to see if I do get shocked what will happen. But I try my best not to and just think twice about everything I do.

I'M NOT SAYING ITS SAFE !!

IM not Qualified in anyway to Give advice.

Just thought I give some info for people looking for some it's hard to find.

And this group has helped me a lot.

Because at the moment I can't give up my job.

Sorry English is not my first language

Very odd

Hi,

WOW, you sure like pressing your luck. you may not feel it now but I'd sure be getting a "HOURS LEFT" done sooner than later.

I stood in front of a microwave because I was reaching above it to get the sugar and I could feel a sensation in my pacemaker area. I don't care if they all say it's safe I'm saying not for me.

I pace at 80 at all times, even when sleeping. The only time I change is if I am doing something then it goes up. But never down below 80 for 89 days. They can't lower it any more than 80.

Time will tell

I'm not 100% sure but think the  worse thing is my pacemaker can go into safe mode.where I can't go above 60 and below 60.

Time will tell how long the battery will last so far they say 11years I will check up in 6 months time and will update.

And if it does quicker then I can have the pacemaker fitted into  my mussel.

My pacemaker was installed in 1998 and I have not felt better. The mental part is the toughest.
