Hi. I'm a certified medical examiner for DOT physicals.   If you fail to report and are later found out, the Federal Motor Carriers could potential refute your certification.   With a cardiologist clearance the minimum required time from implantation to driving is only 1 month of the pacer is placed due to SA node or AV block.  This is at the discretion of the examiner but most of us want to clear drivers if at all possible.   Hope this helps!!

In 2014 a Glasgow man failed to declare a medical problem & drove a bin lorry in Glasgow he passed out & killed 6 people !  He was found NOT guilty of the charges. I guess you takes your chances!

I chose to surrender my licence voluntarily & got it back after 6 months after clearance from Cardio & DVLA .

Not nearly that serious, well could be. Georgia law states that anyone who has lost consciousness can't drive for six months. Yesterday was four months (seizure). Doctors are not required to turn patients into GDOT, so I technically have my driver's license. However,  driving would be foolish. If I got in an accident,  my insurance company would have every right to deny a claim, putting my net worth in peril. It's simply not worth it.
