Do you mean celiac disease? If so I know many people who have it including relatives. There is also a very high rate of celiac disease in diabetic individuals. In fact, alot of places are checking for celiac if a new diagnosis of Type 1 diabetes is made. If you have been told you have celiac you really need to see a dietician who has experience with it. The good news is that if you are having symtpoms becasue of it most agree that after avoiding wheat (which is what celiac is~ an allergy to wheat) that they feel alot better. I know it can be scary and frustrating to hear you have another medical issue to deal with but I would encorugae you learn all about it so you can be the healthiest person you can. Good luck with everything and keep us poated:-)

I said in the earlier post that celiac is an allergy to wheat however it is not just an allergy to wheat but more importantly the person has to stay away from anything with gluten in it to include wheat..
