Facemasks

Just a question. Is it safe to wear a facemask?. I'm told that these slow down your breathing.

It's possible

My wife just had an appointment with her GP. When her pulse/pressure/pO2 was taken, her oxygen saturation was 92%, which alarmed the nurse. She told her to take off her mask and within a minute or two it went up to 98%. She said this isn't rare.

I didn't have any trouble, so it's not likely a PM thing. If you're worried about it,  just buy a pulseOx meter (~$30 on Amazon).

just wear the mask

If you have trouble, look for a different type of mask, but for now it's important to find a way to wear a mask. Have you tried N95 rather than cloth or surgical? It fits very tightly so I expected it to be much more uncomfortable, but it's vented so it doesn't get as hot and glasses don't fog up.

I wasn't really self-conscious about it. I didn't even know I had one until around six or seven years old. I just thought I had a rock in my side.
