R F ABLATION

Hello Pacemakers,
Had a R F Ablation Monday 22/10/07..
Doctor who preformed the proceedure told me the "ODDS" before starting..90% chance you will go home feeling great, throw your medication away and get on with your life..5% chance no change..5% chance worse off than when we started.. Well Murphy's law clicked in and I came out worse..
Pacemaker??? oh no says doctor in one month we will give the proceedure another go..
So there you go..The latest news from down under..
Regards Ron..

RF Ablation

So sorry it didn't work the 1st time, Ron. I had two RF ablations. 1st with PM inserted but my AFib was "over-riding" the PM but I did feel somewhat better & had to go back on some meds. 2nd one worked (couple of months later) & now 100 % PM dependent. Hope you have better results the next one. Let us know how it goes for you.

Thinking of you, Janet

hi Ron

sorry to hear your EP&RFA didnt go well, I've had 4 now and got my pacer about a month after my 1st RFA.
Which arrhythmia was your EP attempting to ablate?

good luck for your next procedure,

You know you're wired when...

You have a little piece of high-tech in your chest.

I wasn't really self-conscious about it. I didn't even know I had one until around six or seven years old. I just thought I had a rock in my side.
