Hip, Hip Away!

I'm going into hospital tomorrow to have a total hip replacement and would ask those of my friends who do so to pray for a successful outcome and ask for encouragement from all. It's to be done with an epidural and heavy sedation - the heavier the better as far as I'm concerned! However, my neighbour had hers done in September last year with the same anaesthetic and claims to have slept through it all. I expect to be in hospital for five days or so. In the meantime, I hope all of you behave yourselves without my benign eye upon you to keep you all in order! Be safe and well. Love to you all. Sheila

Hi Sheila - I had a THR done last year and besides getting the pm (which I really didn't have a say in) it's one of the best decisions I have made. What a difference. Good luck.

I hope everything goes very well. I'll be getting a new hip probably in the fall, just waiting as long as I can. Everyone says that its wonderful to be (virtually) pain free and have the range of motion of (virtually again) a teen ager!!!

Expecting Success

I'm 35 and got my pacemaker a little over a year ago. It definitely is not a burden to me. In fact, I have more energy (which my husband enjoys), can do more things with my kids and have weight because of having the energy.
