Where can I get disability insurance

Just denied by State Farm and am now in a panic. Does anyone know what companies will offer disability insurance for those w/ pacemakers. My employer had an enrollment deadline (that I missed) now I have to prove my insurability. Please help?

It's hard! The only way I've found to get any insurance that's dependent on our health is to be part of a large group plan where they take pre-existing conditions. I've never found life insurance that had a premium anything close to reasonable and wasn't able to get health insurance on my own. I haven't shopped disability but would assume it's a similar situation.

try calling AFLAC ! Thats what I have through my work and its great! They paid for my time out while recuperating.You should be able to get it independently as it is the type you can take with you and not dependent on your employer or just pay by mail.

I highly doubt if you will find a disability insurance carrier with a heart condition, if you do it will probably be so expensive that u wont be able to afford it anyways. I lost my job because of my condition exhausted all my fmlea, days off work, unexcused absenses, told I could take a careover life insurance policiy which we elected to do, paid our three month premium, then never recieved our next bill call the company and they say oh well we cant insure you because you are on disability, so asked what they did with my money we had sent three or four months ago, she oh we still have it and we are so so sorry for the oversite to not contacting you we just dont know what happened, but i will send you info on whole life its a little more expensive, trying to control my temper i stated i really didnt want whole life and why the blankety blanketyh didnt you call i was told it was a carry over. no dice. i feel like we are discriminated against on some cases, I just dont know how legally they can do some of the things they get away with oh yes I do money talks, and we walk.
