Thanks for update information

To: Surferman,Jenny, and Sharon
I appreciate your e-mail reference to tennis in couple of
weeks. I will definitely not rush into playing any kind of
sports for at least 6 weeks after reading your e-mail to
me. I was going by what the Doctor stated, not that he's
wrong but its my heart and I want to enjoy all the benefits
later when I am sure its ok to do everything. Thanks again
for the reminder. If I had not read your e-mail , more than
likely I would have been out playing and could have had a
serious situation. Gene

You are Welcome!

Hi Gene - You have found out very quickly what this club and website are all about. Like you, last year when I very unexpectedly ended up in the ER and with a pacemaker I had lots of questions. The first day back home I was online seeking answers and luckily found this website. It has been such a blessing to me and I have had better information and support from these wonderful friends than I ever could even expect from the healthcare professionals! Anytime a question or concern arose I put it out there in a posting and immediately got the answers I needed. This is the most caring, nurturing and kind bunch of people you will "meet" anywhere who are constantly giving of themselves. Though most of us will never meet face-to-face (except I got to meet our sweet little Valerie recently which was one of life's great pleasures) these are friends for life! Good luck with your continued recovery and never, ever think a question or concern is dumb - it just isn't so!!!!! I hope you enjoy the support and friendship you will experience from the Pacemaker Club members. We are a very unique group of folks. If you read some of the past postings you will find that the support goes far beyond our cardiac devices, but is wholistic and meets so many needs on many levels. Take care and God bless you.
