pacemaker moving?

I've lost 70 pounds in the last 6 months and have started exercising.    I'm getting pain at the location of my pacemaker when I move my arms sometimes. .  It's not my heart, it feels like the devise itself might be moving around some.   Has anyone experienced this?  I will call my doctor in a few days if it doesn't improve.   It's fine when I sit and do nothing.

Pacemaker moving

It's great that you've lost weight.  BTDT, it's not easy.  This won't cause a pacemaker to move around, though.  PMs have a single, strong, stitch anchoring them down to the pectoral muscle.  This can come loose, which will allow some movement of the device but it should be in the pocket formed for it.  It shouldn't hurt even if it has moved. As always, if you're concerned about anything, see your EP (in this case his NP or PA would be more than fine).

If you're working your upper body more intensely now, it wouldn't be unusual to feel some mild soreness in the area of your PM implant.  Congrats on the results of your hard work to take off the weight!
