New Implant 5/16/2007

Hi since my implant I have had 3 ablations anyone had that done before? thank you..

I have had 3 ablations done. I would love to hear why you had to have 3. For the most part you can read in my info area about all of mine. I wish you luck on your road to recovery.

Prior to my implant...I have had two ablations the first ablation (not counted) they could not get to the pathway. At first they thought it was an easy fix. Then they thought it was on the left, right and center of my heart then they determined it was on the left and the outside of my heart. I refer to the extra pathway as "It” that caused the arrhythmia. Then my heart would go over 54bpm and now I have a pacemaker. It was a challenge to accept the fact that I am 36 and need this device. Prior to the pacemaker when I would have an "episode" my I would hit around 200bpm

The pacer systems are really very reliable. The main problem is the incompetent programming of them. If yours is working well for you, get on with life and enjoy it. You probably are more at risk of problems with a valve job than the pacer.
