Utube Special

Just to let you all know that if you go into GOOGLE type in Utube and go to the Utube web site and enter CHANGING THE BEAT in the seach box you will be able to watch a 57.57 minute (Nearly 1 Hour !!!) video of two electrophysiologists talking about pacemakers implantation , complications and further developments. Its highly educational. Warning though there is some live video of pacemakers being implanted and if you cant stand the sight of blood etc dont watch the video. I think it is really interesting to watch and listen to the doctors views. Let me know what you think of it. Cheers Peter

I watched the whole thing this AM. Very informative it was very interesting to see what was done to me while I was napping. I still don't think it was worth $65,000. But the still being alive part is. Bowlrbob

Very Good

Watched this video this morning. Showed the insertion of PM and defibrillator, and reasons why they are fitted. Makes me think perhaps Electrophysiologist and Cardiologist should be accessible from the start for all of us. I know some cardiologists can do both.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention Peter . Very enlightening.

Take care
Teresa

Bob...you always crack me up! :D (<--smiley)

As for you Peter, thank you for posting this information. I'm in the middle of watching it right now but had to pop into the club to say thanks. I like what I'm seeing so far! It's amazing how young EP is. Thank goodness new technology is coming available every day. And thank goodness for YouTube!!!

I have had my pacer since 2005. At first it ruled my life. It took some time to calm down and make the mental adjustment. I had trouble sleeping and I worried a lot about pulling wires. Now I just live my life as I wish.
