Thanks bill for telling me about using pads as an external pacemaker during pacemaker replacement in patients with av node ablation and no residual pacing. I dont know if they do that in the UK but I am going to ask them at my next pacing check. Peter

When they started shaving the side of my leg I was wondering what kind of pacemaker I was gonna get! But the preop nurse quickly explained. The pads are very large and are stick ons like the small ones used for an ECG.
