Go for your dreams. If you feel like you can do the job and can handle the lifting you know your limits. The hardest part is just getting through the schooling once you are done with that normally people in your field will understand your limits. If you can't lift somebody or do something they should understand.
Once i'm back up to par I plan on becoming a nurse. I only have a couple semesters left to be honest. I wish you luck!

I've had no problems

hi

I am a Cardiac Physiologist (pacemaker technician!) for more than 5 years and I have had my pacer for 4 years, there are no issues in my working environment concerning my pacemaker, in other areas of medicine there would be, such as avoidance of MRI etc, generally if patients have been concerned about the affect on their working lives after having an implant, then my collagues ask me to have a chat with them about my experience.

I am just thankful that I am alive and that even though I have this pacemaker it is not the end of the world.
