30 day event monitor

Good morning! I am currently wearing a 30 day event monitor, as the drs are trying to catch some of my v-tach episodes, rather than just on PM interogation. I have worn one of these before and it was normal, about a year ago I guess. Not once did they ask me after I called in a recording to do a test. This time around every time I call, they want me to do a test while on the phone. I tell them I have a PM, and they still continue to be confused or something.
Anyone else have to wear one of these before, and what were your results? Did the monitor ever pick up anything?
Thanks
Debbi

Hey Debbi,

I wore a 30 day event monitor for 30 days also. I have to say that it was the most painful and worthless waste of time. I am severely allergic to adhesives so I had a bad reaction to the pads. My monitor was unable to catch any episodes that the drs though were severe. What kinda of monitor do you have? Mine was one where you have to press a button when an event is occurring. Does yours recored all the time? I found it really difficult because when I was about to pass out I was not worried about pushing a button. I think that it was worthless and a waste of time and money. Plus I had to fire my dr because he told me he didnt care that I had two infections on my body from where the pads were placed. Good Luck though I hope you get results so you can figure out what is going on.

It is the kind where I have to press a button when I feel palps or any other kind of episode. Problem is, I passed out last week and sure wasnt thinking about pressing a button, so... hmmm.
I do not think it has recorded anything significant.
The one I have does not record all the time. It just records if I press and records for about 30-60 seconds.
I am sending it back today.
