Hi Tim,

I've just been reading your other posts re: blood clots and high BP when your meds were stopped / altered.  Sounds like you've had a fair bit to deal with since you had your PM implanted.  All of those things must have shaken you up a bit.

Have you had all of the other issues attended to now and are there any repercussions / side effects? I ask because some med changes, new meds, anaemia, low BP (if the high BP has been reduced too drastically), viruses and even anxiety can cause fatigue.  It may not be the pacemaker's fault and therefore it's worth getting a general blood test and appointment with your GP to rule anything else out.

You don't say when you experience fatigue. Is it generalised (all the time even with minor activity like cooking / shopping), with certain sports / activities (cycling, swimming are often problematic) or with all types of exercise including walking up stairs / hills.

I'll leave my comments at that and allow you to respond as we need to know more about the fatigue and when it happens to provide a helpful answer.

Best Wishes

Your pacemaker is the last place to look for causes of fatigue.  While it's certainly possible that it's the cause, other changes are far more likely. As Panguin said, BP drugs, beta blockers, and such, are the major culprits. Look for changes, not just the PM.

I just want to share about the quality of life after my pacemaker, and hopefully increase awareness that lifestyles do not have to be drastically modified just because we are pacemaker recipients.
