Alcohol, septal ablation

Morning you wonderful people out there,,,,,,, it's been just over a month of having my septal ablation and well what can I say????? It's great no chest pain, no out of breath just walking up one flight of stairs, I have more energy, I sleep better, I even think that my ankles are not as swollen, to be honest guy I feel completely brand new and 20 years younger if anyone out there has got HOCM please talk to your doctor to see if it is possible if it's an option you won't be disappointed..( sensible bit ) ok I'm a lucky one that it really worked well on but of course check the pros and cons. if like me you where in a little denial about your condition and thought "it will be fine" get checked out don't be scared to ask the questions no matter what the answers. It's true what they say "you're born you die the important bit is in the middle"

So pleased to hear your news

PCO W, I see an alcohol septal ablation is a non-surgical procedure to treat hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. This is an inherited condition in which your heart muscle is abnormally thick. This procedure is to help decrease symptoms and to reduce future complications.

I am so pleased to hear after just a month of having had your septal ablation you are feeling the many benefits already.  Incredible result, wouldn’t you say and I hope this continues.

Thank you for letting us know your good news so that other members in a similar position may discuss this possibility with their doctor

This is in my near future since my cardiac ablation did not do as good as he thought it would.  I'm back up to 30% PVC burden in lower chambers of heart.  I had my ablation three months ago.  Thanks for the info!
