travel insurance

I am 79 year old male with a PM just fitted in six weeks ago. I plan to travel to Europe for a period of six weeks. I am looking for travel and illness insurance that is affordable for my wife, 77 year old, and myself. Any advice which is the most reliable insurance company for this? We live in Israel and will travel from Israel to Europe to be with family.

These days your best bet is Google and read some reviews if you cant get a referral. If you have AARP there they coud be a good resource or AAA if they work in your area.

Here in Canada once you turn 80 (I'm 85). The cost of travel ins just  skyrockets. I'm leaving for Dominican Republic tomorrow and the cost of my insurance for 1 week is now appproaching the cost of the resort.
