PM and SLEEP

Has anyone had trouble sleeping since getting their PM. I used to sleep soundly for about 7 hours and since PM I sometimes sleep only 3-4 hours a night. My PM is for Bradicardia with a min rate of 60 bpm. I had a slow rate for many years and routinely was 30-40 BPM while resting. I thinking about having my Cardioligst adjust to between 40-50 BPM at night. I had my PM for about 10 month.

Any thoughts on this.
Thanks,

lower setting at night

I can only speak for myself, but my pacemaker is set at 45 beats between midnight and 6am for sleeping, then back to 60 for the rest of the day. I was told that they do this for 2 reasons: one to save battery and two, I don't need 60 beats while sleeping.

Just read CathrynB's post above, and she is the same as me!!

I also had them set the "self-test" to OFF and what a world of difference that made.

I can attest to the posts that you have already received. I had my PM lowered to 40 BPM at night and now I am back to sleeping well each night.

Good Luck
