Foot Massager

DRSCOT, you haven't given us any information about yourself, or your heart condition which led to your need for a pacemaker/defibrillator.  It would have been helpful.

My device manufacturer advises keeping my device at least 15 cm away from massagers.  Since the foot is well away from the chest where the device is located, I would certainly feel relaxed about using one.  I am always hearing that our devices are very well shielded and most home electronics or appliances will not interfere with a pacemaker.

If however you have a setting called Rate Response turned on, it may pick up the vibrations from the massager and think you are exercising and raise your heart rate.

The only concern I have is that you have a defibrillator, so I would tell your health care team that you would like to use the massager and see what they have to say?

Not a typical massage device

Just an internet search came up with several click bait titled articles with the same content. I understand your concern. I have no answers.

I too have serious concerns about the way this product is being advertised, its authenticity and safety.  There was a similar product (which was clearly spam) advertised twice on this site a few weeks ago which I removed.  Perhaps this product needs to find its way to the same bin.

TENS/EMS

The NHS advice on these devices used in conjunction with implanted electronics is simple enough, seek medical advice before using.

The advert for Therafoot Pro would put me off, too much hype on benefits, not much on the potential risks.

Would I use one? Probably not and certainly not without asking the pacing team first.

I love this new part of me, and very, very thankful that this technology exists and I know that it's all only going to get better over time.
