getting ready for a new angel

Hi Dear Friends,

This time tomorrow morning my pacemaker replacement surgery should be well underway. It is about 8AM now and I am scheduled to be at the hospital by 6AM.

It has been 13 years since I did this. My current pacemaker has served me very well. I've always thought of it as an angel on my shoulder. Now it is time for a new angel! I hope this one with all the new bells and whistles will help me live a full life just as well.

I am not without fear or concern but as one dear friend on this site tells me...Go without fear! Those words will be with me as I prepare for this surgery.

I am going to spend my day today relaxing, praying, meditating, and reading. My doctor did give me a Rx for an ativan to help me with my anxiety.

Please remember to keep me in your thoughts tomorrow.
You are a wonderful new family for me.

Everything will go very well and you will be back home recovering before you know it.

I will be having my first pacemaker fitted on the 28 January, so I know how you must be feeling.

Hi Donna,

You will be having your pacer replaced while prayers are being lifted up around you for the physician as well as for you. I ask the Lord to hold you close in the palm of His hand and keep you safe. Give us a quick update when you feel up to it. God bless you.

I know how you are feeling. My second one was replaced 2 years ago and i can still remember being afaid. Afterwards I said to myself, what was all the worry about.
