help please

hello all of you sister (and brother) pm'rs. tis that time of year and i have come down with the big bad cold. am feeling generally rotten from it but am afraid to really take any meds because of the pm. aside from the obvious, call the dr, which i cant do, any suggestions. i would really appreciate the help. thanks in advance,

Cold???

Hi Pat, so sorry to read you are down with a cold, a bad cold. I think I feel safer now taking any cold meds because of the pacer. Before the pacer my heart would just simply stop. That's it.... for no reason at all it would just stop. uhmmmm? So now that I have the pacer I keep on beating right through the cold meds or anything else.
I would check in with the nurse if I were you and then self medicate as required. Call the nurse and then follow their advise. You will be better soon. It will take about a week or so though. I hope you are feeling better real soon.

My doctor says studies have shown that Chicken Soup really does help with a cold.

thank you for your suggestions, i tink i gonna make it lol but wont somebody take this cold just for one night so i can get some rest lol pwease. really though i do appreciate all of your kindness and help. it means a whole lot to me.

i myself have high b.p. so i can only take coriciden. it helps with some of the symptoms but no decongestants i use vicks vaporub too. so hope you are better soon take care maureen

Heck no I won't take your cold, Pat!!! :) Seriously though...do you have a vaporizer? Those always seem to help me a lot. Especially if I sit over it for 20 minutes at a time with a towel over my head. I notice that most meds don't really help...just rest and liquids and the all mighty vaporizer!
