I love this new part of me, and very, very thankful that this technology exists and I know that it's all only going to get better over time.
Intermitent or Permanent A-fib

Jati1965,
It could be the beta blockers that cause you the shortness of breath and fatigue etc. Were you like that before the meds ? If you go in and out of a-fib as I did for a number of years than I would think you would feel a lot better during periods of normal sinus rhythm. If you are in permanent a-fib than you could be SOB because of that. Could be a combination of things. I am totally abalted and PM dependent while remaining in permanent a-fib. I take a beta blocker, an ace inhibitor and a calcium channel blocker. I have a hard time on my mountain bike and hiking if going uphill but i just rest as needed and continue on. The beta blockers definitely make you feel like you are carrying a truck on your back at times. Maybe you could try a different med.
It is hard but don't give up - quality of life is the most important issue not just longevity - although both would be nice :)
