pacer removed may 5 08

just letting everyone know im still kicking had pacemaker defi removed in may broken wire that was recalled
Still haven;t heard from lawyer got shocked 11 times got alot of bills from this but no one seems to want to help pay for them except me.
has any one else got a lawyer and what have you heard about the bad wires
I had my pacer and fib removed heart still going strong and doctor says everything looks fine so far
IF ANY ONE HAS FILED A LAW SUIT WITH MEDTRONIC EMAIL ME AT huskersnb1@yahoo.com AND GIVE ME A UPDATE I LIVE IN NEBRASKA MY LAWYER SAYS THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO he said they passed a law to protect medtronic and we are the ones getting hurt from this pain and suffering and all the bills hanks duane

I believe that I read/heard that in the past two months or so that a law was passed at federal level protecting the companies from the victims of the problems like this. Maybe if you Google it or some smart person on this site will be able to point you in the right direction.What about the lawyers that advertise on these site that come up when you Google something like this? Maybe they can help get you an answer.

Good thing is that your heart doesn't apparently need PM/ICD. Bad thing is looks like you may have no recourse.

If you google "medtronic pacemaker recall class action lawsuit", all sorts of class action suits and attorneys specializing in this will come up.

What type of lawyer do you have? There are many types of lawyers and a lot of subspecialties, all of them do not know everything. You need one that specializes in medical malpractice and/or product liability.

I wish I had your problem. No ICD anymore with a strong heart. That is truly great. You are blessed. No more Shocks. I hope that you get the financial help you require, but if you don't....be happy its out. I pray for the day I can post that. God Bless....
