2 Years today.....

So, 2 years on this day, september 14th of 2007 I got out of the hospital from my ICD implant surgery.

So far, over the last 2 years..

1. The pain has either diminished or I'm just used to the pain at this point. I still feel it and know it's there when I move, but it seems to only irritate me every couple of weeks now.
2. I still haven't looked at it since it was implanted and don't plan to. I do kind of count down the years to when it's either removed for good or at least relocated so it doesn't protrude from my body.

So, 3-5 years left (assuming an average ICD life of 5-7 years). woohoo!

*raising my beer in toast* Wishing you a battery that dies sooner rather than later, a surgeon that listens to you when you have it repositioned, and a boss that doesn't plan any more water parties.

You're an asset to our little community and I'm glad you're here.

What I'd love..

I'd love to see it removed and gone, but that's probably wishful thinking on my part. You never know, though.

it's okay. when will you find out if you need it or is there even a time? it has got to be depressing feeling the way you do for so long and having to wait to find out. anyway, thinking of you. mike returns to bahrain to-morrow. i have been sick with laryngitis so my voice is starting to come back after two weeks. i wonder if i had stopped talking i would ahve healed quicker. just a thought. lol hugs, maureen
