My mom got a PM in 2003, which was replaced with an ICD in Sept 2007. Less than a month later, I got my PM in Oct 2007. At the time, I thought of PMs as things older people with "heart trouble" got. Soon after getting my PM, I found this site, from which I have gained a wealth of infomation, emotional support, and new friends.
I have often come to this site when I was emotionally upset, sometimes using it as a sounding board for expressing my feelings. (This has been much cheaper than other forms of therapy!) Other times, in searching for answers, I have responded to a reply with another question, or even by looking up additional information and posting it for consideration. If I have offended others in doing this, I ask for your forgiveness.
I appreciate this site and those who take the time to respond. Alienating those whom I look to for support would be self-defeating; that has not been my intent.
Thanks,
Vonnie

Life takes different directions

Good to see you back. Members come and go I have not posted for a while and have lost contact with others leaving me with the same question: Have I upset someone? Our lives take different directions and things crop up and take up our time and the same happens to others. Remeber a true friend is one who is always there - like those in the pm club.

Hello, I'm new to the site and it has been a wealth of information and support. I learn from the postings and have not been offended in any way. It's a great resource for me to express my feelings, concerns, and fears because sometimes my friends and family don't really understand. Sometimes, what I am feeling physically and emotionally will be posted and I don't feel so all alone and I learn from the responses. Please continue to post and share.
