URGENT:Boston Scientific (Guidant) screws up again

The Associated Press today reported that Boston Scientific has suspended sales of its defibrillators after failing to alert regulators to changes in manufacturing. I have said since the beginning of the lawsuits against Guidant that these people cannot be trusted. They have now failed once again to tell the truth to our doctors and to the FDA. When are we and our doctors going to wise up and boycott this irresponsible company.

I have no idea about boston scientific implants and dont know of the problems. Doesnt sound to good tho if that is the truth, sucks that something that can mean life or death you cant trust in. This is the trend of this country lie lie lie hide hide hide. What a scarey time we live in, we can blame alot of this on shyster lawyers trying to make a fast buck on peoples problems and a government that doesnt care about anyone but themselves. Sad very Sad.

Why blame the lawyers. Did lawyers make defective products and not tell our doctors about the defects? Did lawyers do anything wrong here? Where is the outrage against crooked companies who care only for profit. These corporate crooks and liars love to have a uninlightened populace blame lawyers. Lawyers don't manufacture or sell dangerous products. If our doctors stopped using Guidant/BS products the deaths of innocent people might stop. Guidant killed people. Name someone killed by a lawyer (other than by incompetence in a courtroom).

I trust my doctors 100%. But tell me. How can they be expected to make an intelligent decision if the company knew of deaths from defective products but didn't tell our doctors or the FDA, and just kept on selling the junk? How can anyone think that they are in good hands with Guidant?

I'm trying to understand why Magster feels that Ted's posts about Guidant don't belong here. Why is Ted criticized for reminding us about Guidant's and Boston Scientific's failure to obey the law and failing to notify doctors and the authorities when they discovered dangerous defects. Where are we supposed to talk about threats to our lives and our health? Does this valuable site exist only to exchange pleasantries or to share information, good and bad, and let the chips fall where they may. No one should suppress the truth or be frightened by it. Let's just bury our heads in ths sand and not be reminded of how Guidant/Boston Scientific lied to our doctors. My doctor gave me a Guidant also (later on recall), How could our doctors make an intelligent decision when the true facts were concealed from them? So is the answer to be a bunch of sheep or ostriches, or do we need to keep talking about and exposing these crooks? I'm sorry Flamingo that I brought up a topic that frightens you.
