Multaq

I had a pacemaker procedure in 2007 for my afib. In the past year, my afib has jumped from 20% to virtually 100% of the time. Rather than having a cardioversion, I was put on Multaq to try and see if it would work to put me back in rhythym. I have now been on Multaq for 3 months and my afib has gone back to the 20-30% level. Has anyone had any experience with Multag?

Multag

Hello I was taking Sotalol and was afibing everyday sometime for 32+ hours. I got tired of it and made an appointment with the Mayo clinic for an ablation. When Mayo did some tests they had to send me home because I have blood clots on my pacing wire. They did change my medicine to Multaq and I am in afib once a week for several hours and sometimes at night I will go to bed with afib. It is better with the Multaq but I notice I have a lot more palpation's. I just would like this to go away. Every time I plan anything I end up in afib. I do not function very well while in afib I get so tired and the more I move the worst I am. Good luck.

It may be the first time we've felt a normal heart rhythm in a long time, so of course it seems too fast and too strong.
