removal of pacemaker

hi michele susan here havent been on in awlie went to doctor today because my pacemaker has noved causing terriablr pain i have had my pacemaker for almost two years now found another haert doctor love him he said the doctor who put my pacemaker in for synvcope because of passimg out my new doctor ran tests and said that it isnt stoppnig my passing out and because i have been in sevre pain since my implant he thinks and wants me to have it taken out for good because it causing me severe pain and and really isnt helping if threr is anyone out there that had thiers removed for good please write me back would like to know about complications and how you feel now without it i am in so much pain and want it out so i can have relief would rather not have it because last two years of my life have been awful my new doctor thinks that my docter just put it in for money should have did more testing before doing it .would like to hear from antone for your opions about my sisuation. just want to be normal again so please feel free to give me advice waiting to hear from someone i would rather take my chances of remoing it instead of living thr way i have been living the last two years of my life beingin severe pain i just want to be happy again waiting to hear from anyone that been in my situtation. thanks a lot

have you ever had a tilt table test, and ep study, or a stress test? those are pretty basic tests that your original dr. should have done b4 ever have placing the pacer for several reasons. one is to diagnois excactly what is causing your syncope, finding the right pacemaker for that diagnosis. also..research your dr's. find the best in your state and don't stop until u get the care you need. i went 3 yrs w/ no listening and when it got serious these last 2 months i made all the phone call and pulled all the strings i could to get the best in the midwest (thankfully he practices only half hour from me). there are other tests too that can be done, but those are for sure ones you should have done to start with before choosing to go without or having another put in again. and push your dr. hard to get the tests done as quickly as possible. call for cancellations if you have to. the squicky wheel gets the oil.

Pacemaker operation and remova & stent questionl question

Hi everyone. My first visit today.

First question:
I have a little trouble sleeping more than 6 hours or napping easily and was wondering if the PM keeps my heart running too fast and this attributes to this challenge..That's the first question. I am still learning about how the PM works and sent for that The Pacemaker Manual book. Will be able to discuss this with a pm rep and/or doctor next month. I saw on a comment the term sleep mode... and another comment that a pacemaker can be turned off?

The second question are PM ever removed if the heart seems to be functioning better. I was able to get off my water pill due to no more coughing from CHF (congestive heart failure) so I presume my heart is improving. I am on Dr. Esselstyn's plant based diet and I think this has helped me. His book is: Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease. his website: www.heartattackproof.com

Third question: is there a stentclub?
