Has anyone recovered better than before a pacemake

Looking for anyone who feels like they did before their pacemaker or as good prior to their pacemaker? Just wondering if things will get back to how things were.

A lot depends on the underlying condition for needing a pacer. I had a simple AV block that developed suddenly. I was in good shape and active before it happened. I was fortunate to be able to have the implant in just a few days. Having said that I was back to "normal" in a week or so. I observed some of the precautions about raising my arm above shoulder level for another couple of weeks to let things heal.

So it is quite possible.

I have returned to feeling 100%. The day I went into the ER I was feeling really bad and near passing out. My diagnosis was complete AV block.

After my PM was implanted I felt better immediately with only minor discomfort at the incision site. I was back to work in 2 days and back to walking on the treadmill within one week.

Hope this helps!

Feeling Better Every Day!

I felt much better after my pacemaker was implanted, actually I am much better and more active now.

Each case is different, mine was for A-fib and I am now much better to cope with heart irregularities with the algorithmic PM designed for A-fib.

Things do get better, a positive attitude goes a long way!

It takes time, but in 2 months I was back to better than the past normal!

Sometimes a device must be tuned a few times before it is right. My cardiologist said it is like fine tuning a car.
