pulling feeling around pacemaker site

I had a dual chamber pacemaker implanted in early Nov, 07.
Third degree complete block - 59 years old. No symptoms previous to this; this was an acute episode, and otherwise healthy. Several days later, the ventricular lead became dislodged and needed to be replaced. ( I complained to the EP that the thoracic surgeon in my opinion was rough and gruff during the first surgery, by the way.) I was assured during the second procedure there was nothing I had done to cause this, and I have to say, I have been very careful from the get go. About two months after the procedure I noticed a suture in the incision line and the surgeon removed this. I have experienced a pulling and uncomfortable sensation in the area of the pacemaker. Post check up at EP was ok, but close to the time of the implantation.
Any comments? Thanks. wind up.

I have my pm since 8/07 with the dual chamber also 2nd degree block. I am 57. I always have a pulling feeling around the incision and it feels like I have ground glass in there also....I asked the Dr and he said they had to cut through nerves to make the sac....I have found that using Neosporin + Pain does help. I use it about every 4 hrs. You have to rub it in and try to break up the scar tissue.
