Also, does the cold weather have any impact on discomfort of the pacemaker area? Sounds dumb, maybe, but just curious. We are in the Wisconsin tundra, so to speak......thanks.

I live in northern canada and have found no difference in the cold.
I do find the scar itches in the heat though.

Can't say I notice any difference in the last 7 yrs I have had my PM. I have been out in -10 degrees with a slight wind. I am bundled up & not out for too long. I think my 5 year old metal knees notice it more than my PM. Now I wear sweats & layers when it gets that cold. Maybe Ella-girl can help as she is in Fairbanks & much colder there than here in balmy Anchorage.

Hi Windup,
I too live in Wi & have not really noticed much. However, I haven't really been doing much outdoors..other than going to the car to a store. ( Just had a pocket revision on the 15 of Jan).
Where in i do you live? I am in Milw.

I live in FL (having grown up - freezing in New England) - It has always caused me incredible physical discomfort to be cold. - I consider the warm climate a true blessing..... any way a couple of weeks ago we had some below freezing weather (hey - I admit I'm spoiled) and I was out with a friend. Although I was wearing a number of layers (I'm a wimp too) - my pacemaker got cold. The device itself - under the skin - it was the weirdest sensation I have ever expereinced in my body. - It didn't cause any symptoms or anything - but it was bizarre. (my friend was able to feel the cold through my skin.... ) I guess it's just more proof that I must remain in a balmy climate for my remaining time on the planet :-) PD

I haven't noticed any issue. I'm in St Louis and hiked/ran about 8 miles a few weeks ago when it was 8 degrees. Last summer I ran when it was 104 and again I didn't notice any differance.
Take care,
Rusty
