Advice...Please...

Hi All,

I am looking into going back to school for a new career at midlife since losing my previous job due to my pm. Is anyone here a Pharmacy Tech or Dental Assistant???
If so, any problems/complications with these jobs?

Thank you.

Take care,
Casey

Dental Assistant...

Hey, Casey.

My twin is a dental assistant (she has worked in orthodontics for the past 5 years as the ortho's right hand) and is currently finishing her hygienist's license. The only thing I can think of with that career is the possibility of working with or near an ultrasonic machine.

I don't know a thing about a pharm tech dangers! LOL

Let us know what you decide!

Changing Career

We have a granddaughter that is a pharmacy technician. The two things I have heard her complain about are having to stand on her feet for many hours a day and having to really brush up on her math, especially the metric system. While all meds you will be counting out are a premeasured size which will usually be given in milligrams, micrograms or CC. One other thing, learning to pronounce the name of some generics has given her a fit. But she loves the work and learning what all the meds are and what they can do for people. Also, she is very happy with her pay..

You know you're wired when...

You have a new body part.
