Need some help

I hope you all dont mind but this is not a pacer question.

On December 17th I got real sick went to ER and they put me in the hospital, the next day they discovered a large stone in my common bile duct that was blocking the liver and pancreases they did surgery the next day and was able to remove it.

I got out of thehospital on the 23rd and thats when the trouble started. I cant stop crying, I am so depressed and dont know why. I am the bread winner of my family as hubby is blind and I am not sure if the fact that I cant work for a couple of more weeks(they put in 90 staples and still have a drainage tube in ) and we are going to be hurting for money real quick or the fact that we have a lot of snow on the ground and I cant get out I cant drive yet.

Sorry about the long post but not sure where to turn I brought this up to my family dr and he just dismissed it I didnt get this depressed when I got my pacemaker.

Thanks in advance for all the help
Denise

Yes, Denise you do need some help and you deserve some help. I would like to suggest that you call your local United Way, your church (if you have one) or any of the local charities. They might be able to make some things happen for you. I don't know where you live, but if you reach out to your community I feel certain that there are programs to lend you a hand.
There is no shame in asking for a friend for some help. About the crying... I've been there, survived and I still have to tell you that this will pass. You've been through a lot. I wish that there was more that I could do.... We are here for you.
Your not alone,
Pacergirl

I'm so sorry you're having a rough time! Not feeling well and financial stress is a tough combination. Is there anyone who can get you out of the house for a bit? Any chance you have short term disability?

Just a thought... are you on pain meds that could be causing this? Some of them have emotional side effects.

Understandable

It sounds like you are overwhelmed and I think it is perfectly understandable that you would be doing some crying.

I can't believe your family doctor didn't take it more seriously!

Reaching out to others is so hard to do when you feel so awful! Pacergirl is right....you are not alone.

Oh and after I got my pacemaker I did cry alot. Out of the blue. It seemed for no reason. But I realized I was so mad at my body for betraying me! So sad that things weren't like they once were. I was just SAD! Maybe this last round for you was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back!

You have alot on your plate! So it is absolutely understandable!

Hang in there. Things will get better.

Thanks everyone

I went to the dr today and he still doesnt think this is anything that needs to be addressed as far as the depression so i called our local mental health dept. and I am going in later to see someone there. Please keep sending good thoughts my way.
