Im back!!

Well I go back on the 22nd to get somethings changed around for the first time...............THANK GOD!!

I know you all told me it would be kinda hard getting used to it and that it would take me a while to get back to my old self. And I said okay. WELL easy to say! hehe I have felt like crap all over again and its so stinking easy to give up. I got a bad cold and that took me down. Since that its been one thing after another. My heart rate feels bad again. My head hurts, im getting dizzy again. My head feeling like im spining and im tired ALL the time. Yes I can say some of it is my fault cause I have been doing alot, but isnt that why I got the pm to enjoy my normal life again?!?! Geesh! lol Im just kidding! I am upset but Im dealing with it. And I dont feel I have been over doing it. I really dont. Is there anyone out there in the same boat?! If so please help. Thanks! Love and miss ya all! Rach

Don't give up

Rachel,

Sometimes the PM just needs a little "tweaking". They will probably try a change of settings to see if you feel any better. I am sorry you haven't been feeling well. It took me a few months before I was totally back to normal. I think it is a bigger adjustment for our bodies than even some of the doctors realize. Don't give up!!

I know how you feel! I felt so amazing the first 2 weeks after surgery, but now that I have tried to get back to my normal life, I just don't feel right. I guess these things take time...but I seem to be losing my patience!

Hope your appointment goes well! Take care!

Hi Rach,

I'm sure getting the cold has really set your recovery back, but I know how you feel.

I'm 11 weeks post implant and I really thought I'd be feeling a lot better by now, but I'm so tired.

When I went for my 6 week check up, I mentioned how tired I felt, but the tech didn't seemed concerned and as far as I know, didn't 'tweak' anything, so I thought it would pass with time.

I also know what you mean about getting back to 'normal' life. I can drive now, and treadmill walk at the gym (not much I know, but I couldn't before PM) which is great, but then I get really tired. It's like my body is saying that I'm overdoing it, but in reality, surely a 45 minute walk shouldn't make me so tired that I have to go back to bed - I'm 36 not 96!! Like you say, I don't FEEL like I'm overdoing it.

Good luck for the 22nd - I'd be interested to know how you get on and be grateful if you'd keep us posted. Especially if they give you any advice about tiredness and getting a 'normal' life back.

Take care
