My luck!

Well Well............ as you all know by now I seem to have wonderful luck! J/K I went to WV this past weekend for a funeral. Its like 5 hrs from where I live. I knew I had a high risk for a clot being a Factor Five. So we stopped about every hour and walked. Im on lovenox injections so i took them as normal and an asprin a day!! So yesterday I started to have sharp pain in my chest!! Went to the ER and no susprize what did they find?? A PE!! Yay I get to chart another one on my history list!
I just ask will I ever be able to take a trip and not worry? Prolly not but you are some smart people maybe you can help! Thanks!

I can't believe you had a PE from going on a long trip. My 2 year old has a pacemaker and also has factor 5...he got one copy from my husband who also has it. However, i recently found out that I have a couple blood clotting things too...i have mthfr- 2 copies and factor 2 and another one i can't remember....i was told that i have to be on lovenox if i ever got pregnant or had any surgery......
can i ask how old you are that you are on lovanox and is this your first blood clot? my husband and i have gotten several different answers from doctors about whether he should be on meds or not.....i don't mean to ask personal questions of you but it's hard to get answers sometimes.....
i hope your feeling better....pe's are very painful from what i hear......
i hope your trip was not ruined fro it......
have a good rest of your day.
