AFib

I have been told that I have AFib, although I cannot tell the difference between it and IST. I have noticed lately though that when I have a tachy episode and faint, my blood pressure is always high. My bp normally runs low, but after fainting last night, my hubby checked my bp and it was 166/98. It came down gradually as my heart rate regulated and got back to 107/77.
I have never had high bp during these episodes, usually my heart rate just gets too fast for no reason. Does an AFib attack cause high bp?
