Final Schedule

Got my final schedule for the big event tomorrow. I check in at 11:45AM. The nurse mentioned having an antibiotic drip about an hour before and after surgery. She figured I should be ready to leave about 4:00PM so I guess the filet job starts around 1-2.

I had missed it earlier that the hospital instructions say NPO after midnight, but the anesthesiologist form says 8 hours. So I figure I'll get up around 4:00AM and have a light breakfast, then go back to bed for a while. That should carry me through the day.

Hi Frank,

having my fingers crossed for a smooth surgery and speedy recovery. I'm sure you'll post again after surgery, having just done a 10 miles walk with the new pacer ;-)

Best wishes

Jeep trips!

Good luck and best wishes for today. Hope you are soon riding round the Californian desert in your jeep again. You are an important and valuable member of this club and helped me enormously when I had just had my pacemaker implanted just 12 months ago.
Best wishes Jan x

I slept like a rock til the alarm went off at 4:00Am. Got up, spent a few minutes in the hot tub, had a scrambled egg, toast, and coffee. Stayed up about an hour and then back to bed for another deep sleep til 7:00.

Hmm the Jeep is an idea. They said no driving home afterwards, but what I do with the Jeep doesn't qualify as driving. LOL

You know you're wired when...

Bad hair days can be blamed on your device shorting out.
