I was able to keep my old pacemaker. Maybe I modify it into a mini-TASER.

I posted a bit more on my Great Day no kidding thread so you might check it out.
I'm planning on taking time to put together a few threads about various aspects of the replacement, making decisions, and dealing with the medical folks.
best,
frank

Glad to see you back so fast. Im glad everything went so well. My wife asked the cardio if they had a remote control for the defib to keep me in line, the look on his face at first when she asked that was priceless, then a smile which he rarely does.
glad to have you back so fast

I think you should do it. If the battery's low it may not work long, tho.
Dave, you might wanna go to your appointments without your wife, or at least really suck up to her first. And definitely don't introduce her to Frank.

Hi Frank, that's real support for our membership and also shows up your optimism of taking a positive attitude of having surgery.
Don't know how you do it, I've never been able to talk my Drs' to let me go home immediately, it's always stay over night. Sure glad you're OK and maybe someday you'll tell us all your secrets about dealing with our caretakers. You'll notice I used ALL as you have given us lots of advice in the past. I used some of it on my Dr. in the last surgery of 4 last year and It worked!!! Thank You Frank donb

I am just grateful to God that I lived long enough to have my ICD put in. So many people are not as lucky as us; even though we sometimes don't feel lucky.
