Franks Thought for the Day

After each heart beat we start to die. It is only the next beat that resuscitates us. At an average HR we have something like 80,000-90,000 beats each day so some 80,000 times a day we start to die. Multiply that by 365 times your age and just think..all those emergencies and we are still here.

So relax and thank each one of those little beats and don't get upset if once in a while one takes a break.

Your presence on this site is an inspiration to me and I am sure others. You were one of the first to respond when I came to this site a couple of months ago scared and confused. You helped to quiet the fear and uncertainty. Thanks again for all you do.

Frank,
I appreciate the little knowledge and extra steps you take to teach us all something. I get mad at those skipped beats still even after reading this. I guess I got some work to do with my attitude that I have towards them. I should be much more thankful than I am alive.

Blessings to you Frank,
Tammy

Have you factored in when we lose and gain an hour each year? or is that a wash?

Oh no, what about leap years?!

Ok, I am going to take my deep breaths now and relax.... too much info, too much calculating, my abacus isn't that huge...

Thanks!

Spring Flowers ~ ~

by Carolyn65 - 2010-03-27 12:03:14

EFrank, with all this wonderful information, I am going outside into the the first warm sun for this Texan and contemplate what I have been "preaching" this winter.

The Spring weather has finally Sprung, the trees have tiny, beautiful lil' buddin' leaves, the Spring flowers have Sprung, the lil' humming birds and other sweet insects have begun to come around to get the sweet nectar from the flowers/buds and especially those really sweet (LOL) insects, the fire ants and mosquitoes which have come to visit sweet me for the entire summer.

Gratitudes for a heart to keep beating and Friends like you all.
