Have Pacemaker but still out of breath

I have had Heart arrhythmia for years but was never a problem.
Late in 2006 I thought I wa having a heat attack, sweatty, out
of beath and went to the emergency room an they told me my heart was racing to fast and put me on medication. The Arrhythmia Institute reccomended I try a new medication first
and if that did not work they would schedule the pacemaker. To
make a lomng story short the scheduled the Pacemaker which
bcame infected at the site After removel, a new pacemaker was installed on the right side, this went OK. I went back six or seven times for ajustment sice I was still out of breath doing regular things to no avail. I am and have been experienceing excess fluid build up in my legs an still have bouts with heat failure when lying down. Has anyone had an experience like this??

I had alot of trouble with my first pacemaker which was put in for about the same problem as you have. I t was a 2 wire unit. I was out of breath and had a lot of fluid buildup. After 6 months they removed it and replaced it with a 3 wire bi-ven in sync unit. I also take meds, but have been pretty good for almost 3 years with the new 3 wire unit. I take tikosyn, coreg, accupril and warfaren.

You know you're wired when...

Your pacemaker receives radio frequencies.
