Anyone have a bi-phasic PPM?

Living with SOB on exertion for one year now,and havinig nearly every test in the "book" (all negative)... I asked for a 2nd opinion at Hopkins, and I finally have an answer to why I am so short of breath. My 2nd opinion physician told me that my heart is out of "sync", and my EF has gone from 69 to 45 in 2 years. So, I am scheduled to have my a/v pacemaker replaced with a bright shiny new model, complete with 3 leads into my heart, mid October. I understand it will give 10-15% more atrial kick. And to someone who has none, that's a big difference.
I have had an a/v node ablation and my 1st pacemaker installed in 1998 at the age of 46 due to chronic a-fib. I have had the generator changed 5 years ago, and I am wondering if anyone has a bi-phasic pacemaker? It is not one with the ICD. Just a pacemaker. I would like to find out some basic information about the bi-phashic and if you have felt any different, or experienced any palpitations in your abdominal area since the ppm was installed. Funny way to put it, eh? "Installed". I hear these pacemakers are relatively new, and I would like to learn more from the people who have them.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
A-fibber
