strange feelings

I got my dual chamber pacemaker at the end of December. Every week or two I start feeling differently--I just passed my two month mark and started feeling relaxed like I could go to sleep all day. I feel really spaced out--light headed. I check my pulse and blood pressure and everything is OK. I just don't remember ever feeling quite like this. I am also having migraine headaches that started for the first time last November. I have a migraine with that aura around the inside edges of my eyes part of the time every day. Sometimes the headche pain is severe, and sometimes I don't feel any pain but just have that aura. I feel like someone else a lot of the time. It just feels creepy. Sometimes, when I get out of bed at night or first thing in the morning my legs and arms feel heavy. My pacemaker is pacing at 4% in the upper chamber and 85% in the bottom chamber. Is anybody else just feeling plain weird?

New PM

Hi,
I just got my PM last December 11, 2007. I had a heart attack on my birthday December 10, 2007. I am 47, and I feel tired most of the time. I am also depressed the majority of the time. I have difficulty walking up and down stairs.

My name is Ben.

Visual Aura

I wouldn't necessarily associate your visual aura with your PM. I do have a PM (for 30 years) and in the past 2 years I would say I started experiencing episodes of visual aura, sometimes without the migrane pain and sometimes with. Since my August 07 lead replacement I have heaviness in my legs especially walking up stairs but because I haven't done any sort of exercise now for 6 months due to problems I've had since the surgery. For me anyway its called "out of shape and excess weight!" Maybe some of it has to do with stress associated with your new PM - I have been suffering from anxiety since my surgery.

just got my PM on Feb 21. Feeling a little weired, light-headed from time to time, weird feelings (sometimes a little pain) in the chest, etc. I got my PM because my heart was taking 3.5 sec naps. Had been avid runner for 30 years but grew tired in recent ones (will be 65 in a couple of months). Anyway, I read a lot of things about medical help is that you got to believe it will help you and take that attitude. I am suppose to have no restrictions after i adjust and all that so I am lookiing forward to some light jogging again with my music. I figured the weired feelings was just my body saying " what the hell is this thing?"

You know you're wired when...

You have the perfect reason to show off your chest.
